I've been doing more rowing lately in metcons and was wondering how to effectively use that wattage graph, these two videos are great, thanks so much for sharing what you learned with C2. The CFJ vids were also great.

As always, the video was great. I've found my rowing graph to be molar shaped, and I cannot seem to address it properly to create an efficient stroke. I believe this indicates a weak hip to extremity power transition. Do you have any advice on how to improve this aspect of the row?

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

Try keeping your hip angle closed longer. Odds are, you're changing your back angle prematurely, opening the hip before the knees are fully extended.

Thanks for watching, and I'll keep an eye out for follow-up comments. Hope it works!

Best,

Jon

Jon,

I tried this correction with excellent results. So far my graph is looking a whole lot better and I am able to produce consistently more power. Thanks for the great advice.
