You are a man who wears many hats. Tell us who is Christian Harris?

I am a husband, a father, a coach, a gym owner, creative mind, and founder of a lifestyle company called Move Fast Lift Heavy.

Wow! You have a jam packed schedule. What inspires you to keep going?

I would say the pursuit of betterment on a daily basis. The phrase "one percent better" is something that I attribute to my life in everything I do.

One percent better. I like that. What has created this drive within you?

It comes from within me. I played sports my entire life. At a young age, coaches instilled a work hard mentality, and it’s carried over into everything that I’ve done through out my life.

With a busy schedule, it can be hard to find time to train, especially with covid and more time with the kids at home. How do you find the balance in your life?

I’m an early riser. I find that getting up early to have some "me time" is essential. It is undistracted time. Half the world is still asleep. That's time that you can dedicate to yourself. I call it the “no BS hour”.

When other coaches are available in your gym, why do you continue to coach?

Coaching fills my cup. Seeing people get better, helping people improve is what really got me into CrossFit in general, and why I opened my gym. I like to help people become better versions of themselves.

Describe the culture of your gym.

We are a tight knit community of people that want to get better and continue to live an active and healthy lifestyle. And have fun while we are doing it!

One of the themes Again Faster has been focused on lately is that better fitness outcomes occur when you exercise with a friend or within a community. Especially outdoors, because you get a great trifecta of movement, socialization, and outdoor time that increases overall well being. Do you believe the environment and community affect fitness outcomes?

Yes. During these covid times, we moved our rig from inside to outside. We have been running classes outdoors, and the great combination of fresh air and fitness has been awesome.
